If you’re in the mood for something a little more gruntier than your average concert, then we have the very thing for you. Australian heavy metal group, The Amity Affliction will be performing at the ANU Bar on Tuesday, January 13 2015 as part of their Weigh Downunder Tour which celebrates the launch of their fourth studio album Let The Ocean Take Me.
Hailing from Gympie, The Amity Affliction was started by high-school buddies Ahren Stringer and Troy Brady who named the group after a close friend who had died in a car accident earlier. Since then, the band has undergone several member changes with Ahren now the only original member left.
The Amity Affliction released Let The Ocean Take Me in June, announcing a worldwide headline tour in support of the album. They sold all 25,000 tickets to their five date Australian tour, and have already sold out shows in Los Angeles, San Diego, New York, Toronto and more as part of their 30 date North American headline tour.
One of the best metal groups to be active in Australia to date, this is a concert that will have you thrashing.
