Welly ‘tude meets international aura: Hot Sauce returns

After a brief summer hibernation –call it a siesta of sorts –Hot Sauce is back to showcase fiery flavours served with a side of signature Welly sizzle.

A deliberate departure from authentic, the new Hot Sauce borrows from Bangkok and steals flavours from Seoul. With inspiration extracted from all across Asia, it’s the kind of place where Tokyo taste lives happily alongside Singapore sling –creating a tangle of taste that’s just downright delicious.

We, of course, celebrated in style, hosting 40 of our friends and local ambassadors for a sneak preview at the new menu of flavoursome proportions, tasty cocktails and tight tunes. With a special rhythmic performance by Taiko Wellington and the thrum of our DJ on the decks, this was one comeback with a literal bang. Guests enjoyed a smorgasbord of delights from Hot Sauce’s Trust the Chef menu, including crispy squid, succulent yakitori skewers, baos and banging duck curry alongside signature favourites popcorn chicken, lamb rendang and kung pao cauliflower. Honourable mention to the Szechuan fries – another new addition to the menu that’s packed with umami flavour and a tickle of numbing spice.

The darling of the evening? Lychee Iced Tea cocktails, plucked from the new drinks menu to share with our friends. A refreshing mélange of vodka, lychee liqueur, fresh lime and a touch of peach culminates in one utterly drinkable tipple.
