Wellington Benches

From time to time, it’s important to stop and take stock of your surrounds. The capital of New Zealand, our humble Wellington, has a number of spots around town that make you do just that. From the harbour to the street art, there is an endless maze of places to loose yourself in.

I ask you, when was the last time you looked at the benches of Wellington though. The structures that get so little recognition, though continue to offer support to all types of Welltonians, from the longest living local, to the touring tourist.

The benches around the Windy City are a diverse bunch of structures and thankfully, the anonymous (presumed) team over at the Instagram account of @wellingtonbenches have been documenting the humble erections for the last month.

From the wooden sleepers that line the harbour, to the benches hidden in the over growth, it might just be time to hit that follow button.
