When it comes to hosting an event, whether it be a private dinner for 4 – 20 of your closest friends or a cocktail styled party for 100 of your fans and haters, the venue is so important.
Sure you could take them to The Boatshed or Thistle Hall, both are fine venue options. But you want to throw a party that’ll be remembered; you’re throwing it for a reason, do it the right way. Base your attendees in a room that is steeped in history.
With rich dark mahogany, plush furnishings and all things that scream opulence, Welcome to The Billiards Room at QT Museum Wellington.

To find this place… is a struggle.
All we can tell you is that it is somewhere within QT Museum Wellington, as it’s actual location is only know to those who have been there before.
Once you enter, the huge, green felt table that is the namesake of the room will take your eye. It’ll be set, ready for you to take on your dinner guests in a quick game of pub style pool before, during or after dinner.

The privacy that the room offers the dinner or cocktail party is something we pride ourselves on. The backroom deals that have happened here will only be known to those who made them, which only adds to the history of this much-loved venue.
With culinary options coming from Hippopotamus’ head chef, Laurent Loudeac. You’ll be equally wowed by the food offerings, as you are the conversation around the table.
So next time you’re looking for a place to tell some secrets, host a cocktail party or just play a fine game of stick with a dinner that’ll be remembered, there is no better place to book than The Billiards Room.
This place has to be seen, at least once.
