Joel Hart’s Chaos of Calm: Exhibition Launch

Last month, we extended an open invitation for Queenstown to join us as we unveiled a brand new exhibition in Gallery 6, Chaos of Calm. Welcoming the dynamic and imaginative works of local Christchurch artist, Joel Hart, who is showcasing the collection for a six-month residency.

DJ turn it up. We popped the Champagne, downed an oyster (or 200) and Canyon ensured the beers were on ice. Guests perused the stunning line up of pieces, and meet Joel Hart who took us on a journey through his abstract wonders; where night sky meets cityscape, faces are etched with stories of beauty, mortality and decay, inviting you to look a little closer.

Based in his hometown of Christchurch, Joel has been featured as a guest judge on The Block NZ, and gained prominence for both his studio and mural works, transitioning from a world of corporate graphics to the freewheeling streets of urban art. A juxtaposition of natural beauty and vibrant energy, mirrors the dualities in his work, making Gallery 6 the perfect place for his solo spectacle

Chaos of Calm will be exhibiting Joel Hart’s works on Level 6 of QT Queenstown until October.
