Being one of the most isolated cities in Australia (not to mention the world), poor old P-town often gets overlooked. The thing is, Perth has made quite a name for itself over the past few years, and is now one of THE most exciting and effervescent places in Australia!

Sun, sun and more sun – Perth really knows how to turn on the epic weather, which is why we’ve seen an explosion of amazing rooftop bars. Here’s a few to add to the bucket list.

Rooftop at QT

The obvious standout AND the highest rooftop bar in the city is the Rooftop at QT (not that we’re biased). Nestled among the high-rises, QT Perth’s rooftop bar boasts panoramic views extending over the iconic Swan River. With a food and drink menu that matches the hotels exuberance, punters will not be disappointed with an afternoon out on the terrace.

Not to be missed is the Duck Liver Cannoli, the Moreton Bay Bug Roll and the Frozen Negroni! Check out the menu here.

Bob’s Bar

Named after Australia’s third-longest serving Prime Minister, Bob Hawke, this bar is located right in the working district. It’s a great place to take a load off after 5pm. If you’re prone to a good deal, Bob’s Box is for you. Enjoy a cheeseburger, fries and wings served alongside a cold beer for $20.

Hadiqa

This Middle Eastern-inspired rooftop bar brings you exciting food and cocktails with a touch of spice and colourful fair. An inner-city oasis that should definitely be checked out.

Mechanic’s Institute

This small bar is big on fun! Like many of the bars owned by this crew, you can order food from the Flipside nearby and they’ll have your burger brought up to you. Handy!

Lucky Chan’s Bar & Restaurant

“Lucky Chan is an enigma wrapped in a riddle, wrapped in a dumpling then deep-fried” – now there’s a description! Serving up bowls of spicy noodles and deliciously refreshing drinks, this place is as quirky as it gets.
