At QT Perth we love taking guests on a culinary voyage exploring West Australia’s best local produce.
While we all love a delicious night out, we know everyone might not be a wine connoisseur so here is everything you need to know…
Who are Plantagenet Wines? And why should you love them?
Plantagenet Wines has always been family owned and was the first winery in the Great Southern wine region of Western Australia. They have developed an enviable reputation for producing premium quality wines since 1975. They achieved international recognition for their amazing depth of flavour and structure, and we trust the experts.
Where did it all start?
It all began in 1968, when the young Tony Smith planted an experimental vineyard on his Bouverie property in the Great Southern of Western Australia. The first grapes were picked in 1974 and in 1975, a shed was purchased in the township of Mount Barker and the first vintage from the winery was produced.
Which Plantagenet Wines are we showcasing at Santini?
For our collaborative dinner this April, all wines served will be from the Wyjup Collection, starting with sparkling wine and moving through a 4-course paired menu:

So what is the Wyjup Collection?
The Wyjup Collection is crafted from the finest parcels of fruit from Plantagenet Wines five pioneer vineyards, the same ones first planted in 1968, and offers the best natural expression of the Mount Barker terroir. Each vineyard has unique characteristics, ancient soils and a cool maritime climate creating expressive wines of provenance, quality and prestige.
