Turns out Newcastle has quite the appetite for La Dolce Vita.

Two chefs. Two iconic Italian coastlines. One more chance to live the sweet life.

After a sold-out debut, QT Newcastle Executive Chef, Carmine Mari and Bella Italia owner and Chef, Nico Gentile, turn two Italian hometowns into two long lunches. Because one simply wasn’t enough.

Bringing together the flavours of the Amalfi Coast and Lake Como, the duo are serving a lesson in living the sweet life, with an afternoon dedicated to the art of eating, drinking and, well… celebrating.

Set high above Newcastle Harbour, at Rooftop at QT, settle in for an afternoon soundtracked by live DJs. The menu begins with golden lasagna bites and mushroom and truffle arancini, before moving onto pillowy Gnocchi alla Sorrentina finished with smoked stracciatella and traditional Rigatoni alla Carbonara, rich, silky and made the Roman way.

A porchetta, potato and provolone schiacciata follows, bringing together slow-roasted pork, melting cheese and flavours straight from a bustling Italian pizzeria.

Dessert anyone? Tiramisu sets the scene before the finale. Think roaming cannoli, because one dessert was never going to be enough.
