There is nothing worse than waiting and knowing that the newly reformed Wolfmother is set to release an album any day now is killing us slowly in the extreme. But at least we know for sure that we will be able to catch them live at the Cooly on next month on February 13. Totes just in time for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift.

After the band split up in early 2013 we thought it was really end days for our favourite curly haired rocker. But then we heard whispers of reunions and revivals and then an official announcement that the band had confirmed that they will indeed be rejoining to perform live. Then, like a bolt of lightning from heaven, we were given this teaser for their pending 2014 album.

Joining Stockdale (who remains on lead guitar and vocals) are the talents of Ian Peres and Vin Steele. This line-up will not only be take the band on tour but are also the powerhouse combination behind the new album – tunes from which we hope will be played at their upcoming concert. And, from the sounds of the teaser, we are looking at a night (and year, actually) of some serious head-thrashing so make an appointment with your chiropractor now to save time.

Wolfmother will perform at the Coolngatta Hotel on Thursday, February 13. To get your tickets to see Wolfmother, head here.
