Museum of Australian Democracy
2013 was arguably one of the most interesting, entertaining and tumultuous years in Australian political history. We had one federal election, two governments and three prime ministers in a year that’s been described as simultaneously feral, ferocious, gendered and extraordinary. The polls, policies, alliances and spills of 2013 made excellent fodder for the political cartoonists of our nation’s major newspapers, the best illustrations of which have been compiled for Behind the Lines 2013. Definitely worth checking out for a tongue-in-cheek chuckle at the political year that was!
