Every sip tells a story and this International Women’s Day, QT Canberra will raise a glass to the greatest female winemakers in the Canberran wine-world at Uncorked.
On Friday, 8 March, Capitol Bar & Grill’s Sommelier Ashleigh Smith will be joined by four fearless females behind the Canberra Wine District’s most popular local wineries for a decadent three-course dinner. Sarah Collingwood, CEO of Four Winds Vineyard, Chrissie Smith, Owner of Intrepidus Wines, Emma Shaw, General Manager of Collector Wines, and Carla Rodeghiero, Founder & Director of Sapling Yard, will take guests on a journey, sharing a story or two about their careers as well as tasting notes of the harvests that put them on the map.
“Each of the women involved in Uncorked pour passion into every drop of their wines. I’m so excited and proud to showcase this to our guests and highlight the incredible Canberra Wine District,” said Smith.
Starting at 6pm under the evening glow of the Capitol Bar & Grill deck, dinner designed to share will follow and live music will let laughter and libations flow.
Tickets are $129 per person, with part-proceeds to be donated to local not-for-profit Karinya House, who help women in Canberra and the surrounding regions provide safety, shelter and a positive support network.
