Bondi is a great ‘burb for people watching. There’s always a very interesting mix of creatures wandering about. You’ve got your sun-kissed surfers and bronzed beach bums, toned and taut fitspo freaks, playboys and party girls, fashionistas, hipsters, foodies and everything in between.
So what’s been doing in Bondi? Who’s been mincing around of late? Where have they been heading? Well, I can tell you Michael Klim, Pip Edwards and Dani Stevens amongst others have been making the most of end of summer about town. How do I know? Without sounding too creepy, I’ve seen them… and I can show you, through Instagram. They were even nice enough to share a few thoughts with me too.

Where do you surf when in Bondi? And what is your favourite spot for a post surf schooner?
My favourite spot to surf in Bondi is the north corner or between the flags under the watchful eyes of the Bondi rescue guys. And it’s hard to go past Bucket List for a beer and a feed after the surf.

I LOVE the beach and Bondi is one of Australia’s most iconic beach destinations. When I’m in Sydney, I make a beeline for the beach and always enjoy a delicious fruity smoothie at a favourite cafe of mine – Bondi Harvest (hi to my mate, Guy!). Speedos Cafe is another fave. For fitness with some of the best views in town, you can’t beat that gorgeous walk from Bondi to Clovelly – right along the coast taking in all the smells, sounds and sights of our amazing Australian beach culture while you’re working up a sweat at the same time, Brilliant!
The fitness equipment the local councils have installed along the way add an extra level of action for you if walking or jogging is too basic.

Icebergs’ gym has the best view of any gym in Australia and the Crab Hole Cafe has the best coffee in Bondi. Don’t tell Gusto on Hall St I said that, their Swedish backpacker staff may strangle me with their pony tails…. No actually tell them that, please.
Best steak is Marcelleria on the main drag and go next door for a tasty German beer at the Barvarian beer cafe. Ravesis’ bar upstairs is great for a late night dance, but because of Mike Baird’s bullsh*t lock out laws they close at around 12 most nights. Beach Road Hotel and Bondi Hotel has the same problem. Great places to hang out watch sport or meet some of the local talent… Who are usually Swedish backpackers, although I seem to run into a lot of Brazilians lately, which is nice to mix it up a little. If you love an overpriced breakfast, go to Bills and if you want awesome burgers go to Bonditony’s Burger Joint.
Do the Bondi to Bronte walk and eat breakfast over there somewhere. They’re all good. Get a tattoo from JZ and the team at Bondi Ink. You might even get on their TV show.
Oh and jump off the rocks at north Bondi when it’s flat. Amazing!
