Let’s say it’s a Friday or Saturday night and you’re looking to hit the town and check out the Bondi nightlife… actually let’s be real, any night of the week is a good night to creep. Whether the wolf pack is travelling together or you’re flying solo, keep reading to find out the best places to have a dance, meet some people and let your freak flag fly.
El Topo Basement
The Eastern itself has many levels to meet many tastes, whether you’re in the mood for a burger, refreshingly healthy breakkie, relaxed drinks on a Sunday afternoon or bust a move on the dance floor. Located on Level 2 is El Topo Basement, winner of the best Entertainment Venue of 2014 and home to potential suitors. Local DJs such as Kaiser Waldon, Dollar Bear and vonAudio spin tracks and the frozen margaritas flow. Head there on a Wednesday night for free entry and $5 drinks between 9pm and 11pm. You are most welcome…
The Sheaf
Double Bay, a stone’s throw away from Bondi, is home to the Sheaf. There are numerous venues within the venue; a public bar if you want to cheer and watch the footy, the Garden Bar for some live music and chilled vibes, the Terrace if the weather is nice and the Canopy nestled away at the top of the huge Morton Bay Fig in the beer garden. Whether it’s a Wednesday, a Saturday or a Sunday, you’re in for a good time if you head here.
Coogee Pavillion
The Pavillion hits its peak during a sunny Sunday afternoon on the rooftop, but on a Friday night after 5pm the crowd is eager to wet there whistles after a long week and party. With bars upstairs and down, there are options for those who’d rather sit and chat and for those who have been waiting all week to cut up some rug. Plenty of Instagram worthy locations here for a selfie, don’t forget to let everyone else know what they’re missing #DuckFace
Beach Road Hotel
A Bondi institution, the Beach Road Hotel specialises in making sure your every need is covered every night of the week… what top guys! Like many places in the Eastern suburbs, Wednesday night is the night to go if you want to have a boogie. Maybe you’ve had a stressful start to the week and need some midweek madness. The music is free and with the sounds of Sosueme, Hinds and Baytek on your side, you’ll no doubt find a dance partner to groove with. Grab a juicy $12.50 cheeseburger from the restaurant first for the energy, and we’ll see you upstairs.
