Tuchuzy first opened its doors in 2001 and since then has become one of the Eastern Suburbs most desired designer stores.
It’s definitely come a long way since the early 2000’s, there’s no doubt about that.
I actually bought my first formal gown at Tuchuzy back in 2005 when the tiny store was filled with fluro festival get ups, Jeffrey Campbell platforms and a small selection of designer dresses.
When the team made their move from the funky little store at the South end of Gould Street to the spacious, sleek space at the North end of the street they brought a whole new vibe.
Tuchuzy went from being that playful little affordable fashion store to a wonderland of labels, fine materials and minimalist threads.
These days some of the stars of the show are Alexander Wang, Rag & Bone, Mira Mikati, Bec & Bridge, Sir, Dior Eyewear, Bassike and plenty more. You’re looking to spend anywhere from $150 up to $1000+ for one piece, and if you have zero self-control like myself you’re looking at a pretty solid credit card bill next month.
The array of materials is Tuchuzy’s sexiest asset and my biggest weakness. Pieces made from the finest cotton, linen, silk, fur and denim…what more could a girl want?
Lucky for us (and our bank accounts), Tuchuzy has just recently taken over the old Birkenstock store just across the arcade from the mother store and transformed it into a Tuchuzy Sale Pop-Up Store.
The prices have been marked down and some marked down AGAIN so there are some serious steals to be found.
The range of styles and seasons included in the sale includes everything from fur jackets and lush satin pants to summery dresses and the skimpiest of cosies.
The word on the street is that they only have the lease until December, so time is ticking farshuun lovers, get amongst it!!
