Shelby’s Sidecar Tours In Bondi

Sydney is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and after having lived here my whole life I still get starry-eyed every time I drive over the Harbour Bridge – I can’t imagine what it would be like travelling here and seeing it for the first time.

While staying in any Sydney hotel they will recommend a range of ways you can see the sites – Jump on a bus, a train or if you have a spare $400 then why not take a helicopter ride. All of these things are great but if you want to see Sydney from a whole new angle with the wind blowing in your hair and a guaranteed smile on your dial then Shelby’s Sidecar Tours has your name written all over it.

Shelby’s was created in 2016 by the legendary Marc Jackson and it’s the perfect example of how thinking a little left of field can result in something great! Marc is one of those guys with a heart of gold and big ideas; every time I chat to him he’s playing with another weird and wonderful concept to better his already awesome creation.

I was lucky enough to have met Marc a short while after we opened the hotel and since then we have worked closely with him to provide our guests with what we believe to be the best way to see our coastline and city – by motorbike sidecar!

For anyone who has experienced that free feeling of riding or doubling on a bike will know what I mean when I say it’s one of the best feelings there is.

If you’re not familiar with the feeling or the idea of getting on a motorbike has always scared the hell out of you then I can guarantee Marc and his team will change your mind within the first 5 minutes of your ride.

Each Bike can fit 2 people including your trained professional rider. You will either be perched on the comfy backseat of the bike or snug as a bug in the sidecar. Cruising at a comfortable speed of around 35km per hour you’ll be able to take in Sydney’s beauty while your rider gives you the rundown on exactly what you’re looking at while having a laugh along the way.
