Oh yeah! The sun is shining, the 30 degrees are being tipped and the forecast for the summer ahead is trending towards hot sunny days. It’s weird to be excited about the effects of climate change, though the good weather helps for the moment. With the sun in the sky shining down all that vitamin D, it’s important to soak it up. When it comes to the bubble of Bondi, there are plenty of ways to do this. From sitting outside at The Bucket List on Sunday to taking the board to South Bondi and shredding that crumbling peak.

To make getting out there even easier, the team at the Royal Croquet Club are about to hit town and take over a sweet section of North Bondi for 11 days.

Not just to celebrate the sport of a mallet, peg and ball, the Royal Croquet Club have a line up of food, booze and music to get you all excited.

Kicking off on Thursday, November 24, the festival will be serving the goods from Bao Stop, Butter and Mamak – just to name a few… It wouldn’t be an event worth heading to if Messina Gelato weren’t there dishing out their delicacies, right?

The hooch you’ll be ordering will range from Captian Morgan to Pimms, Pol Roger to Yalumba. And as the unofficial beer of croquet the world over, the legends at Heineken will be sorting you out with the froths.

All of this is really good news, it’s enough to get you out of the house, though the music line-up is where it’s at.

What a line-up. It’s not even really festival season yet and this is a banging assortment of everyone you want to see right now.

Tickets are cheap and you only need them for Friday and Saturday nights (after 6pm), other than that, the whole thing has free entry.

Oh, before I forget, you can play croquet as well, if you want to.
