It’s that time of year and yep I have done it again, the same thing I do every year and promise myself I won’t do the next…..

It’s days until Christmas and I still haven’t bought 1 bloody present (sigh)

My first attempt at Christmas shopping was about 3 weeks ago and I apparently “stole” some ladies parking spot which resulted in her running up to my window banging and screaming at me like she was some sort of flesh-eating Zombie. I spent the whole next 2 hours walking around Westfield Bondi Junction so rattled I don’t even remember what I looked at so I was certainly in no state to be making purchases. Since then I have avoided the task completely.

I have decided to stick to good old Gould Street – a calm, happy place where puppies roam free and the sun always shines….. Better still why don’t I just not even leave the hotel at all? How would I do that you may ask?

Not many people are aware but amongst the mismatched cushions and crazy art in our lobby you will find our ‘QTique’ gift shop. It sits on the right-hand side as you walk into the lobby in two weird pod lookin’ things. Filled with great quirky gift ideas that are perfect for when you have no idea what to get or in my case don’t want to battle the crowds of Eastern Suburbs housewives, crying babies and apparently now zombies.

We have a whole range of prezzies for all ages – Ecoya candle and Earrings for Mum? Some Cufflinks and Wallet for Dad? A Snorkelling Mask and Shark Attack Cookie Cutters for Timmy? Or a Flamingo LED Lamp and set of Metallic Pens for little Josie?

The QTique is also awesome for stocking fillers – everything from Ice Shark Moulds to Inflatable Watermelon Balls. Don’t know what a watermelon ball is? Come check it out for yourself!
