We are so spoilt for choice here in Bondi – sometimes venues feel the need to over complicate things to come out on top… So excuse the pun, but so far from what I can see Mr Toppers are already coming out on top, in their first week of opening.
Everybody loves toast, right? And when it’s done right, it can be great. The guys at Mr Toppers are definitely doing it right and for the right price as well.
Apart from the range of delicious gourmet toppings, the price tag is the best part. All toasties are $11… yep, $11! That’s bloody unheard of in Bondi these days.
The other day I had 2 pieces of toast with a tiny smear of avo on it and it cost me $17, so you can understand why this concept excited me so much.
The menu consists of 9 keys players and a weekly-rotating special. Among these is the best lookin’ avo on toast you have ever laid eyes on. Maybe you’re in the mood for a classic, order up The Fancy Pants, which is made up of smoked salmon, crème fraiche, dill and cucumber. Though you might be in need of a bacon and egg hit, in which case wrap your mouth around The Homestyle, featuring crispy bacon, sweet tomato chutney and muddled egg.
All of these things sound mouth-watering, right? So mouth-watering you feel like you need an icy cold drink to slurp it down with? Mr Toppers have got your back. The sugar-free sodas are an epic choice and for all you coffee obsessed maniacs – Traditional iced coffees are the perfect alternative to a hot coffee on a summer day.
The retro little shop front is located just a hop, skip and a jump from QT, next to Bondi Public School. With the main focus being take away – it’s the perfect meal to grab on your way to the beach!
