We have a winner!

Instead of cutting a red ribbon to kick off the brand spanking new QT Bondi we wanted to do something a little bit different. So instead, we came at the gelato lords, Messina, with a taste challenge.

“Oi, give us the essence of Bondi mashed into gelato you flavour wizards!”, we shouted, knowing that if anyone was up to such a task, it was them… They truly are flavour wizards, ya know.

What they churned out was a refreshing Bondi postcode inspired coconut & quinoa sorbet, going by the name of ‘2026’. It had roasted coconut and rice milk sorbet, Messina trail mix, quinoa choc block and yoghurt gel. It was delicious and we gave it away for free.

In return we were shown mad love on Instagram, from which we picked one legend to receive a QT Bondi and Messina experience. That person was @clique.collective with her sweet double 2026 shot in front of Rosie Apps’ epic “I Love Bondi” mural. Nailed it.

We’re looking forward to the lucky winner tackling the QT Bondi Messina experience very soon. She’ll be living it up at QT Bondi and heading out to The Messina Dessert Bar – an degustation bar opening in Darlinghurst. Yep, she’ll be served a 5-6 course dessert degustation by the Messina chefs. BOOM!
