I took my time on getting this out, due mainly to the effect it had on me. It’s a banger. I’m talking about the lineup that was dropped recently for the upcoming Listen Out Festival, set to shake our fair nation in late September and early October, depending on your geographical location.
If you missed the lineup, take a seat and read on: Rüfüs, A$AP Ferg, Jauz, Stormzy, Tchami, Claptnone, Gordon City (DJ Set), Yung Lean, Anderson .Paak, L D R U, Cosmo’s Midnight, Ngaiire, Joy., Tash Sultana, Willow Beats, Sui Zhen (DJ Set). Oh, how good it will be to hear these artists’ beats ringing out in a parkland near you come spring time.
Let me just break that down for you a little bit, it’s a lot to take in one read. The Rüfüs boys will be playing their last Aussie shows for the year; A$AP Ferg is in town to show off his newly released album ‘Always Strive and Prosper’ and to top it off, Anderson .Paak is bringing his full band with him, The Free Nationals… all this really cements the awesomeness that Listen Out has become.
Come October 1, Centennial Park in Sydney will be taken over with some of the freshest kids in the dance and hip hop scenes producing what the good dudes behind the event, Fuzzy call the ‘best, not biggest’, in what is the start to the warmer months and summer festival season. Giddy up.
Tickets are already on sale and the first release has sold out, as expected. Second release is now open and from all reports we will be at the third release shortly. VIP tickets are still up for grabs, those bad boys include all that you need including dedicated bar and toilets. To hunt down anymore deets or to grab tickets, head over to the Listen Out website.
Listen Out 2016 is in Sydney on October 1 at Centennial Park.
