Laneway Festival 2017 Line-up

Sep 16, 2016  ·  2 min read

By Ben Stephens

Shut the front door, the St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival team have dropped the first line-up for the 2017 touring season and just like last year and the many before that, the artists that have thrown their name on the bill will make for another wild summer time Festival.

With a line-up like Laneway it’s hard to pick a place to start, let’s just start with the big one. Tame Impala will be back home for Laneway only shows, with lead singer Kevin Parker dropping the bomb that this will be the last string of shows before the new album is released. Joining the Tame’ is a strong line of home grown talent including Jagwar Ma, Gang of Youths, Glass Animals and personal favourite Jess Kent.

Earlier this week it was confirmed that Australian legends A.B. Original would be on the line-up following on from a huge week at BIGSOUND music conference. The loveable, artist formerly known as Chet Faker was also confirmed to be taking out a headlining spot, these are the first shows that he will be performing as Nick Murphy, his real name. As he dropped his stage name, he also threw some new sounds up, check it out HERE.

Along with all this talent from our fair nation, there is also a fearless gang of international artists making the trip over with the likes of White Lung, Aurora, Bob Moses, Nao, and Tycho just to name but a few.

Sydney will once again be able to enjoy the whole line-up in the surrounds of the College of Arts in Rozelle on February 4. The St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival will be hitting all major capitals from late January 2017.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, September 21 at 9am. To grab those and for more information head over the the Laneway Festival website HERE.
