Bondi is home to many events throughout the year but none of them showers you with food, music, dancing and entertainment from all over the globe.
The Global Table Festival is a cultural extravaganza that we are lucky enough to host every year right here in Bondi Junction. The festival takes place in the Oxford Street Mall right as you exit Bondi Junction Train Station and is the ideal day out for the whole fam bam.
With all the horrible things going on in the world at the moment sometimes we need to take a moment to all come together and appreciate each other’s cultural ways. This festival is a celebration of multiculturalism through delicious flavours and diverse sounds.
Grab a plate from one or two (or six) from your pick of the many food stalls will line the festival. Then pull up a chair at the massive 35-metre table that stretches down the middle of the mall.
Enjoy the company of your family or friends and mingle with the people beside or across from you, I mean you are all eating at the same table why not embrace it.
If you bring your kids along there is no shortage of fun to be had in the children’s area with great activities and face painters all day long.
Eastgate Shopping Centre also jump on-board with the festivities – enjoy food tastings from all the fresh food outlets and $15 parking all day in their secure carpark.
See the Cook Islands Dance Troupe, the African Drummers or have a go at belly dancing.
All of this and so much more fun to be had from 11.00am – 4.00pm on Sunday 7th May.
So gather your tribe and get amongst it!
