There’s nothing Aussies love more than talking about the weather. It’s our go to when there’s nothing else to talk about. We love to chat about how much we wish it was warmer and then when it’s warm we don’t mind whinging that it’s too hot.

30 degree days in September, god knows what we’re in for this summer but if you’re anything like me you’re ready for the heat, bring it on Bondi! The vibe down in the bubble at the moment is electric; the streets are humming with excitement and all the local businesses have kicked it up a gear.
Now would be the perfect time for us to talk about our favourite spring menus around the bubble.
Majority of our favourite cafés and restaurants are all about seasonal menus, which we are also a big fan of. There’s nothing better than a change and some new exciting flavours to keep things fresh throughout the year.
Porch & Parlour
The team at Porch have a serious flair for healthy & creative dishes. Their menu is always filled with impressive combinations of beautifully presented food that literally dances on your palate. Our favourite spring additions are the Garden Salad with fresh pomegranate, pickled golden beets & red cabbage, carrot, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, haloumi and dukkah & lemon tahini dressing. The Spring Fish Salad with grilled ocean trout, cavolo nero, zucchini, lemon balm, pickled golden beets, butternut pumpkin & baby potatoes with dill aioli is also HEAVEN!
Lox Stock & Barrel
This Deli Diner has become so popular it’s definitely not easy to snag a spot straight up but it is worth the wait. Their lunch menu is filled with fresh salads and epic sandwiches full of seasonal produce and delicious pickles, mustards and conserves that are made in house. The Homemade Brisket Pastrami Sandwich with Russian coleslaw and pickles is an absolute knockout and if you’re after a salad the Raw Tuna with smoked corn, seaweed, macadamia, sprouts, cabbage, zucchini, mint & cucumber is definitely our pick of the bunch.
