Remember the time before playlists? I guess the early equivalents were burnt mix CDs and before that mix cassette tapes. Now it’s all so easy. You can drag and drop a collection of digital tunes into a specifically crafted list for each and every occasion, be it a road trip playlist, break up playlist, Sunday morning hang over playlist, nothing but Tay Tay playlist, nothing but Kanye playlist, 5am rave playlist, getting lucky playlist… The (play) list goes on. There’s no limit to what you can make a play list for or about.
That brings me to my next point. We have a brand spanking new hotel in Bondi and with that comes a new playlist for you to wrap your ears around. Our resident tunesmith, Andrew Lewis, has fashioned a playlist that embodies everything Bondi; beach life, alfresco dining, crisp cocktails, ocean sunrises, pink sunsets and trendy nights. The playlist cruises with the likes of Xavier Rudd and Jack Johnson, surfs with classics from The Beach Boys and embraces the sunny-social-scene feels with Vance Joy and Allah-Las.
It’s a playlist to throw on when sipping a few sundowners. It’s for when you’re sitting on the hot sand amongst the bronzed bums and salty smiles. It’s for when you’ve spent all day at the beach jumping in and out of rolling waves, earning a healthy glow, you’re thirsty and pleasantly weary, you flop down on your bed and grab a quick siesta before heading back out for a late afternoon mojito.
Sounds pretty good doesn’t it.
Warning: This playlist might make you want to explore Bondi… and start surfing… and drink cocktails.
