Bondi, Where Live Music is Alive and Well

Nothing gets me more excited than a bit of live music and a twirl on the D Floor.

As most of you Sydney siders know the music scene around these traps hasn’t been very strong in the last few years. Although we are no Melbourne, you can still find some killer live tunes around, you just have to look that little bit harder.

Spring has sprung here in Bondi and that means the party season is just around the corner, so where are the best places in the bubble to catch a live gig?

Bar 34
This little dive bar has the best view and the best live entertainment to go with it. Open mic nights, musical bingo, local talent nights and some great Sydney musical legends hit the stage at Bar 34, the crew have always got something goin’ on. Grab a feed and a cocktail from their ever-changing cocktail list and you will be in your live entertainment element!

Taqiza Mexican
The new kids on the block and the best Mexican feed going round. When you walk into tiny Taqiza you would never imagine this would be a live music venue but somehow they make it work… and man does it work! Samba, Reggae, Bossa Nova and Blues tunes fill this tiny space over the weekend. Bookings are essential!
