Bondi has brought so much more to the table than just a to die for beach vista. Many of Sydney and Australia’s most recognisable brands were born and bred in Bondi.
Bondi Wash
Natural, Australian, essential. With Bondi Wash products, you know exactly what you are getting and you know it’s good. Bondi-based Belinda Everingham launched Bondi Wash back in 2013 and hasn’t looked back. With the aim of utilising the scents and products that our Aussie bush breeds, Belinda has created a highly sought after botanical brand that is going from strength to strength. If this brand is not a pure representation of all things Bondi, I don’t know what is.
Venroy
Every guy needs a good pair of boardies if they are going to survive an Aussie summer. Bondi is certainly the best spot to buy the boardie staple and Venroy brings the Bondi flavour in a major way. Venroy now also does ladies clothes, an expanded mens line and activewear so no one has to miss out.
Aquabumps
Old school Bondi fixture Aquabumps has been in action since 1999 and is still pumping out the pure greats. All about capturing and sharing the early morning happenings by the beach in the east (and some overseas destinations), the Aquabumps website and daily email have become part of many a hipster’s regular perusing schedule. Check out the website or head to the Bondi gallery to see the true beauty of the works.
Samantha Wills
Born from a boho chic store at Bondi Markets, Samantha Wills‘ wares have continued to shine (literally) since her inaugural showing at Australia Fashion Week in 2004 (as only a wee babe of 22, we must add). Now splitting her time between Sydney and New York, Samantha Wills and her brand bring bespoke brilliance to the world of fashion and accessories. Showcased on Sex and the City and worn by the likes of uber celebs Beyonce, Taylor Swift, JLo and Rihanna, the only way is up!
Bondi Born
Swimsuits to fit the Bondi crowd are never going to lose. Bondi Born brings a bounty of beautiful bikinis and one pieces, not to mention delightful beach attire. A relatively new starter, having only been established in 2015, Bondi Born’s founder Dale McCarthy has been flaunting some seriously luxurious swimwear and the punters are snapping them up. The brand aims to empower and indulge independent, strong women and is certainly succeeding with that.
