Dolling up, frocking up, scrubbing up – if you want to get down with dressing up, the Bondi beachfront is a good place to go hell for leather. There are more women’s fashion boutiques perched on the Hall, Gould and Curlewis Street block than you could swirl a wanderlust-inspired kaftan at – meaning it’s a favourite for those hunting statement pieces, locally made active and beach wear, and garb of the high-end and vintage variety.

These are the best women’s fashion boutiques in Bondi.

Inbetween Tangerine
High-end bohemian-chic seems to be all the rage these days. It’s a style that lets people that don’t have a spiritual bone in their body pretend they do, and it looks good, so who cares. Inbetween Tangerine pieces won’t break the bank. They’ve got a massive range of clothing, jewellery and home wares, and also collaborate with small communities in Mexico, India and Thailand to create unique one-off accessories.
80 Gould Street, Bondi Beach

Playa by Lucy Folk
When your customers include the likes of Beyonce and Cara Delevigne, you know you’re doing something right. Lucy Folk is a goldsmith by trade, but her “ornamental hors d’oeuvres” in no way conform to any traditional jewellery rules. 10 years after opening doors (and killing it) in Melbourne, Folk revealed Playa by Lucy Folk in Bondi, which has fast become a fave with locals seeking unconventional accessories.
3/11-13 Hall Street, Bondi Beach

Denim CoLab
Finally, a shop entirely devoted to Canadian tuxedos. From the shredded to the patch-worked to the expertly fitted, Denim CoLab offers a varied range of premium Aussie denim jackets and slacks. Their latest collaboration is with Brad Heald of Dope Lemon (Angus Stone’s latest project) fame.
3/157-159 Curlewis Street, Bondi Beach

Bondi Markets
This local institution is a hotbed of underground, next-big-thing labels. The weekly flea market has bred the likes of like Lover, Speedos, Zimmerman, Bailey Nelson, Mania Mania and Samantha Wills.
Bondi Beach Public School, Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach

Tuchuzy
Anyone from the beachside bubble will tell you that Tuchuzy is Bondi’s darling boutique. With racks full of threads from international heavyweights like Chloe, Maison Martin Margiela, Helmut Lang, Kenzo, Acne, Rag & Bone and Alexander Wang, as well as local talents like Bassike and Dion Lee, Tuchuzy is a mecca for those with a digit on the farshun pulse.
90 Gould Street, Bondi

Nimble Activewear
The active lifestyle, or at least, the appearance of an active lifestyle is of great popularity in Bondi. Nimble Activewear is a local label that specialises in exercise get-up that is both high quality and flattering. Get ready to fend off yogis and dodge conversations about kombucha as you mix and match crop tops, tops and tights.
49 Hall St, Bondi Beach

The People Vs.
Originally a backstreet Bali boutique, the vintage-inspired The People Vs. quite fittingly now reps Bondi. Many years spent poking through markets and experimenting with styles has led to these guys nailing the meticulously crafted I-don’t-care-how-I-look look.
82-92 Gould Street, Bondi Beach

Other notable mentions include the hearty signature prints of Camilla, the Latin American-inspired beachwear of Muchacho and the statement togs of Bikini Island Swimwear.
