Design-led, boutique hotel collection, QT Hotels & Resorts brings to life their unique sensibility and signature sense of quirk through the airwaves. Introducing Played on Q – curated playlists and music programming from all ten QT’s available to stream on Spotify.
Keeping in QT key, each soundtrack is oozing with vibes, beats and rhythm that will get you in the QT mood. Updated seasonally, each soundtrack features 100 songs that speak to the heart of each QT. Step into Parlour Cucina at QT Sydney for a mix of West Coast Jazz and Bossa Nova classics inspired by Chet Baker and Stacey Kent, before making your way to Gowings for funky feel-good vibes from the 60s and beyond – think Prince and Daft Punk, with a bit of Dusty Springfield for good measure.
A musical journey that begins long before guests step through the door, each playlist is curated by Founder of Digital Wax, Andrew Lewis. The man behind the music, Andrew knows a little something about QT Hotels, joining as founding Group Music Director at the brand’s inception in 2010. Since then, Andrew has been setting the scene with slick sounds and has even DJ’d for Beyoncé at a private party at QT Sydney.
Andrew Lewis, QT Music Collaborator said “Music is subjective; the secret is to keep personal taste out of the equation. Knowing that music has a direct cognitive link to our memories, when programming we need to truly understand the guest and how the music will make them feel. From setting the mood for an evening of unexpected adventure, to triggering nostalgia, music can make or break our mood.”
Callum Kennedy, General Manager of QT Hotels & Resorts said “QT delivers on the senses – the eyes feast on the hotels design, while the tastebuds are tantalised at QT’s signature bars and restaurants. Played on Q is music to my ears. We are amped to take our guests on this sensory sound journey, be that at home, or at their favourite QT.”
