Kicking off spring racing celebrations in style, designer hotel QT Melbourne is hosting an exclusive Derby Day breakfast at The Rooftop at QT in association with Vogue and GQ, this Saturday, 4 November.
A local landmark showcasing stunning views of the city skyline, The Rooftop at QT is the hottest venue in town and the Derby Day breakfast is sure to not disappoint building on the successes from last year’s event.
Celebrity guests and industry luminaries will ascend on the rooftop prior to Flemington indulging in a carefully curated race-day menu which has been created by the QT Melbourne culinary team, including an oyster bar, caviar tasting station, delicate pastry platform, grills from the Robata and roving canapés.
Guests will be sipping on G.H. Mumm NV, Pimms, Boags Premium and Capi Water.
A feature pastry station will be set up on grass imitating the finish line at Flemington and will feature champagne strawberries and cream, chocolate and mandarin pots, white chocolate lollipops, and mini croissants filled with raspberry and pistachio, all set to delight those looking for a sweet start to the day.
A Robata station spinning prawn skewers, scallops wrapped in pancetta and an open steak sandwich will provide a more substantial feed before a big day at the track.
Canapes from Pascale Bar and Grill will also make their way around the soiree, with guests offered miniature croque monsieur, smoked salmon with crème fraiche in a squid ink bun, and corn fritters was avocado and feta.
