QT Sydney And Dessert King Adriano Zumbo Create A Sugary Sensation

Start flexing your littlest finger; QT Sydney has created a high tea for modern Marie Antoinettes, partnering with Adriano Zumbo, the master patissier behind the infamous Croquembouche.

Much like everything Zumbo touches, and as QT breathes, the launch of QTea upends the traditional notion of high tea, adding a dash of quirk for luxury loungers looking for a sweet sanctuary in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. The menu is a suitably extravagant affair featuring a mix of sweet and savoury dishes, including a nostalgic roster of Zumbo’s most famous sensations paired with a line-up of never-before-tasted delicacies such as Sconez, an unexpected twist on the expected scone and Just Love Me, a chocolate, raspberry and pistachio piece of perfection and a delectable white glazed yuzu vanilla cake.

Sweet assassin Adriano Zumbo says: “Not one to do things the traditional way, I wanted to work with QT’s signature quirk and create a high tea that you’d never expect. Forget sensible finger sandwiches or stuffy service, QTea is for guests looking for a sugar rush with a side of theatrics.”

The classic Zumbo Passionfruit Tart is served alongside Zumbo’s iconic macarons, known as Zumbarons. Other dishes include Lobster Rolls bursting with Champagne lobster, coconut, chilli and lime mayo, Caesar Sliders and Goat Cheese Tarts.

Delivered in QT Sydney’s luxurious lobby and Studio Q, DJ spinning eclectic tunes and the clink of the flowing Champagne trolley; the experience allows guests to revel in main character energy. For a high tea experience like no other, guests are encouraged to play with their food, perched pretty on custom stands and Perrier Jouet Champagne paired to every palm. Every detail has been curated in collaboration with the creator of culinary curiosities, Adriano Zumbo and QT Sydney including a bespoke Blueberry Macaron tea. Revelers can also pop the cork on a selection of 60 Champagnes from the hotel’s multi award-winning wine list.

Adriano Zumbo shot to fame from the first season of Masterchef with his daring Croquembouche creation and is the host of Netflix series, Sugar Rush. QT Sydney’s QTea experience will be the only location in the world where guests can indulge in Zumbo’s iconic high tea.

Cancel all weekend plans, QT Sydney is making it reign on a world of pure indulgence at QTea – A High Tea that isn’t for the quaint-hearted. QTea will be available to book from $95 per guest from Saturday 29 May, available Saturdays and Sundays, with 11am, 1pm and 3pm sittings.
