Posted on: 28 June 2023

Renowned for its exceptional design-led hotels, QT Hotels & Resorts proudly announces another triumph in the world of wine. The designer hotel collection’s signature restaurants have once again received the prestigious ‘Best of Award of Excellence’ in the 2023 Restaurant Awards by Wine Spectator, the world’s leading authority on wine.

As the 2023 Restaurant Awards were announced, QT Perth’s Santini Bar & Grill and QT Wellington’s Hippopotamus stood tall among the competition. The coveted ‘Best of Award of Excellence’ reflects the brand’s relentless dedication to curating exceptional wine lists, tailored to the diverse palates of their discerning guests.

Home to more than 850 wines, the Hippopotamus cellar is known for its unique range of classic and legendary wines from New Zealand and France. Hippopotamus celebrates its prestigious wine programme for the fifth year running and is one of only two restaurants in New Zealand to be a recipient in their category. Second time winner, QT Perth’s Sorrento-inspired Santini Bar & Grill is the only restaurant in the state of Western Australia to be recognised in this year’s awards. Hippopotamus and Santini Bar & Grill are amongst 1,411 establishments globally to receive the ‘Best of Award of Excellence’ by the highly regarded awards program.

These wins reaffirm QT Hotels & Resorts’ commitment to excellence and position the brand as a leader in the hospitality and dining sectors.
