A reinvigorated drink program, newly inspired menu and vibrant design set to transcend the ordinary and arrive at extraordinary.
Heading to higher ground, QT Melbourne’s iconic rooftop, Rooftop at QT, will usher into a new era this October. Melbourne’s esteemed locale will be slinging fresh takes on classic cocktails and dishes fresh from the Mediterranean, in luxurious surrounds with renovated spaces; intimate alcoves featuring private booths, a private lounge and outdoor bar.
The epicentre of the QT Melbourne experience and offering unparalleled views of Melbourne’s picturesque city skyline; Rooftop at QT will glow in a new light, welcoming the city’s denizens and taste makers to ride the high all the way to the roof.
Expect the unexpected with Rooftop at QT’s beverage program overseen by award-winning Food & Beverage Director, Chris Stock. Set to serve seasonal cocktails that go beyond the ordinary and celebrate the classics with adventurous twists and innovative technique. During his time in London, Stock elevated Dandelyan to the number one spot at the World’s 50 Best Bars in 2018, before his time at designer hotels; One Hundred Shoreditch and Sea Containers London.
The menu will boast sky-high seduction for lunchtime libations to sunset grazing. Snacks to generous share plates will be kissed by the Mediterranean, expertly curated by recently appointed Executive Chef, Nic Wood, celebrating his return to QT Hotels & Resorts (a part of EVT) after a short hiatus.
Wood was Executive Chef of QT Perth’s award-winning Santini Bar & Grill when it was awarded several accolades – a credit to his vision – before venturing to Los Angeles in 2021. It was here Wood brought his creative flair to the vibrant US West Coast dining scene as Group Executive Chef of NeueHouse in Hollywood, Downtown and Venice Beach.
Wood also expands his role across QT Hotels & Resorts nationally, as Culinary Creative Lead overseeing Santini.
With unwavering commitment to using the finest quality produce and over 20 years culinary experience, Wood will bring his renowned farm-to-plate philosophy to the electric setting of Rooftop at QT, alongside signature dining restaurant Pascale Bar & Grill, set for an early 2024 turn.
Executive Chef, Nic Wood said, “I am honoured to be expanding my role across QT and excited for these iconic destinations to be entering a fresh chapter. We are delivering diners an experience, so along with sensational flavour and quality ingredients taking centre stage, we are really raising the bar and bringing that renowned QT quirk to life in the most memorable of ways.”
Long-time QT collaborator and award-winning designer, Nic Graham is at the helm of the interior elevation of Rooftop at QT. The vibrant venue will invite city dwellers into private booths and high banquet seating with custom tiled tabletops. The fit out also boasts a new private dining room, an outdoor bar and bespoke artwork by emerging Melbourne Artist, Dwayne Hutton.
QT Melbourne’s General Manager, Kristen Foat shares, “It’s an exciting time for QT Melbourne as we embark on the first phase of our culinary evolution with the appointment of Nic Wood. We look forward to welcoming back our loyal Melbourne food and beverage aficionados, along with visitors in need of Melbourne’s most extraordinary views, service, hospitality and night life experience.”
Arriving at peak experience, this Melbourne icon will be transformed into an all-day, all-night drinking and dining destination. Rooftop at QT Melbourne will unveil its fresh look in mid-October 2023.
