QT Sydney’s culinary clout continues to grow with the appointment of James Kidman as Executive Chef. James will be working under the creative culinary direction of one of Australia’s most respected and acclaimed chefs, Sean Connolly, who has been at the creative helm of QT Sydney since March this year.
With over 20 year’s experience, James has become one of Sydney’s most respected leaders in the industry. With impressive culinary credentials including the iconic Café Sydney and Otto Ristorante, James will bring his flair and business savvy to the fold.

James will join Sean working across all food and beverage divisions of QT Sydney including in-room dining, conferencing and events menus, Parlour Cucina and signature restaurant Gowings. Since reopening in March 2022, Gowings’ electric expression of elegant, unpretentious Italian cuisine creates an immersive experience that has already received notable industry recognition.
