Gilt Lounge Shakes and Stirs up its Cocktail Menu with a Summer Twist

Posted on: 04 February 2014

Gilt Lounge heats up with a new summer cocktail menu showcasing a twist on the modern and forgotten.  Located on the mezzanine level of hip boutique hotel, QT Sydney, Sydney’s finest bartenders call upon a cellar of liquors to fashion cocktails from the designed list of classic and signature tipples with its own house made Negroni list to create some daring and tantalising concoctions.

‘Cucumber Dill Collins’ combines dill infused Hendricks Gin, Cucumber Juice, Lime, Sugar, Soda, Dill Sprig, and Cucumber for a cool summer refresher, whilst ‘Barrel Aged Rendezvous’ mixes High West Rendezvous Rye, Fernet Mena, Demerara Sugar, Peach Bitters, and a Flamed Orange Twist offering an audacious proposition.

‘Gilligan’s Tiki Island’ is an exotic blend of Appleton 8yr, Lime, House Made Falernum, House Made Papaya and Guava Soda, Elemakule Tiki Bitters, Papaya and Mint Sprig, along with ‘Don the Beachcomber’s Zombie’, which mixes Appletong 8yr Jamaican Run, Cruzan Gold Rum, Wrey n Nephew OP, Pernod, Angostura Bitters, Don’s Mix, Lime, House Made Grenadine, House Made Falernum, Mint Sprig and Pineapple Slice.

For an aperitif, Gilt Lounge offers a new take on Negroni cocktails, offering the unique ‘Chocolate Spiced Negroni’, combining Tanqueray vanilla bean infused Carpano Antica, Campari, Mozart Chocolate Sprit and Jaffas.

Gilt Lounge’s mixologists blend a number of their own mixers to invigorate the Gilt offering, creating a unique taste sensation. Creating its own house spiced ginger beer, falernum, tonic, grenadine, and pineapple and mango soda, Gilt Lounge ensures a fanciful accompaniment to its unique liquor on offer – the House Made Tonic with Gin uses the exclusive Death Door Gin not available to buy in Australia.

Open until 12pm Tuesday and Wednesday, and until 2am Thursday to Saturday, Gilt Lounge brings decadence minus pretension to Sydney’s thriving late night cocktail scene.
