Capitol Bar & Grill Wins Restaurant & Catering ACT Awards

QT Canberra’s Capitol Bar & Grill has taken the top spot at the Restaurant & Catering ACT Awards for Excellence 2022, winning the award for ‘Best Restaurant in a Hotel or Resort’. Loved by locals and hotel guests alike, this accolade further cements Capitol as a premiere dining destination in the capital.

The dynamic team leading the charge are Executive Chef Michael Box, and Chef de Cuisine Mel Hobby.

Bringing decades of passion and energy, Michael has introduced culinary moments to form an exciting part of the Canberra dining scene. The grill in Capitol has become a regular ritual for the city, through seasonal highlights and bespoke events in collaboration with local partners.

A carefully curated wine list compliments this ethos of local provenance. Developed by QT Hotel & Resorts’ Director of Beverage Chris Morrison and QT Canberra’s Director of Food and Beverage Desiree Saavedra, the wine list highlights icons, emerging producers and new grape varieties. Of course, with a focus on the wines of the Canberra District and Southern New South Wales.
