Rooftop at QT are bringing Bruichladdich up top this September, a collaboration inviting guests to dabble in a dram that’s classic, floral and elegant, a little left of centre, a little unexpected-just like QT.
Whether a whisky connoisseur or just a touch curious, QT’s award-winning bar team have created a menu of Bruichladdich cocktails, speaking to the wild and wonderful nature of this whisky. The signature is the ‘The Laddie’, which features chamomile-infused Bruichladdich Classic Laddie single malt whisky with homemade ginger syrup, fino sherry, blue curacao and coconut. For those feeling a little more adventurous try ’The Provenance’ heroing Bruichladdich’s Octomore 12.1, a heavily peaty single malt mixed with apricot brandy liqueur and green chartreuse. Those who see themselves as purists, and seek the sophisticated Isle dram straight, the Classic Laddie and other drops will be available on pour throughout the month.
Every Thursday night in September, Rooftop at QT will be dialing it up night lights and city brights to glow bold in blue with Bruichladdich and Beats. Where guests can live the high life with resident DJs spinning house beats from 5-10pm, with tunes perfectly paired to the smoky spirits of the evening and a food menu to match.
Visit Rooftop at QT throughout September, scan the QR codes around the bar, and be in for a chance to be whisked away and win a night in a Junior Suite at QT Auckland. A sleepover set for D&Ms and the most generous of drams, with a full bottle of Bruichladdich The Laddie Classic Whisky, $150 room service credit, breakfast for two in Esther and plush Bruichladdich robes.
For those new to the malt, there’s no better way to get acquainted than with the Islay experts on hand to show you the ropes. Not-so traditional, and dripping with the unexpected is just how QT likes their whisky.
