Spring, what took you so long?

It’s time to defrost and slowly peel off those woollen layers, spring has sprung in Canberra! With the warm rays of the sun peeking through the clouds, even the frosty peaks of Mt Tennent and the white slopes in Corin Forest are looking green. At QT Canberra we’re welcoming the new season with – dare we say – a spring in our step. Join us as we give the warmest welcome to spring.

Fall into bed with Floriade

Just a hop, skip and a petal away from QT Canberra, Floriade’s diverse program of music, cultural celebrations, food, wine, horticultural workshops, market traders, and artistic displays will keep you entertained.

With our Fall into bed with Floriade package, we welcome you to enjoy Floriade in (QT) style. Check in and sip on The Botanist Elderflower Collins a spring inspired cocktail, at Capitol Bar. Featuring The Botanist gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon and soda, this is cocktail exclusive is sip-sational.

Pick up your picnic lunch hamper, curated by Capitol Bar & Grill Executive Chef Michael Box, and take an easy 12 minute cruise to Commonwealth Park. Sit back, take in the sheer beauty of the blooms whilst you graze on seasonal delicacies served antipasto style, including local artisan cheeses.

After taking in the festival, you can head back to QT Canberra so we can serenade your ears with our Played on Q, Spring Playlist. Curated by Andrew Lewis, the Founder of Digital Wax, you’ll take in the spring sounds while you wind-down for a relaxing night in. Or fire-up for a night out, knowing you’ll be waking up to a leisurely breakfast at Capitol, before you take on the next day.

New Spring Menu

Nothing signifies a new season like the celebration of seasonal produce. So take a seat at Capitol’s table, because our new spring menu has arrived.

Executive Chef Michael Box has a modern-Australian menu with your new favourites. Think Fraser Island QLD spanner crab with espelette pepper, celery seed, chive and hot sauce, and southern NSW shortrib, MB4, 100 day grain fed with burnt eggplant and pickle mustard seed. For those with a sweet tooth, start salivating for our sundae anyday with maple ice cream, burnt marshmallow, candied pecan and caramelised milk. Now the only thing yet to decide is, when will you be joining us?

QT Canberra’s Capitol Bar & Grill will be celebrating one of the world’s most iconic cocktails with an exclusive Negroni and dessert pairing that is utterly unmissable.

Sip on an original Negroni masterpiece designed by Capitol Bartender, Lockie, which features Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz gin, Campari, Bianco Vermouth and elderflower liqueur. Salut!

For one week only you will be able to match with our exclusive Negroni Crumble, with Campari & vermouth braised berries, amaretti and vanilla oat biscuit crumble. no one ever said too many Negroni’s was a bad thing…
