Bondi Farmers Market In Spring

We’ve had a good run here in Bondi this winter… plenty of warm days and sunshine, big swell cycles hitting the coast and a lot less people to share the beach with.

As good as it’s been, we couldn’t wait to see the back of the coldest month of the year. The dawn of spring brings longer days, warmer weather and better parties… It’s the season of new beginnings and down at the Bondi Farmers Markets, spring has definitely sprung with the timeless classics being joined by some fresh new flavours

The Bondi Farmers Market runs from 9am-1pm every Saturday on the beautiful open grounds of Bondi Beach Public School, directly opposite the beach and right on the doorstep of QT Bondi.

The market brings together local farmers, growers and producers for a celebration of farm-fresh tasty produce. There’s seasonal fruit & veg, organically grown meat & poultry, freshly picked flowers, artisanal breads, jars of homemade jams, farmstead cheeses, herbs, spices and plenty of unique food-inspired creations.

If you’re interested in learning about quality food and where it comes from, every stall holder you meet is the same guy or girl growing the food so they can tell you anything and everything about whatever you’re tasting

Our Spring Picks

Byron Bay Chopping Boards
Set up in 2010 by Sydney chef, Simon Hart, Byron Bay Chopping Boards are one of the Market’s newest residents. The stall sells beautiful, hand crafted Camphor laurel chopping boards that are sustainably sourced from the hinterland of Byron Bay. Each piece of wood is selected for its grain quality and is handcrafted by Simon and the boys in Byron to create long-lasting, professional quality chopping boards. The unique designs make them perfect for a killer kitchen chopping board or a stunning serving platter.

Kurrawong Organics
From Bathurst NSW, the Bland Family have been growing veg on Kurrawong Farm since 1931 and have brought their range to stacked stall in the Market. The Farm’s been certified organic for 12 years and they’ve gotten so good at growing that they’ve won two Produce Awards from tDelicious food magazine. These guys pride themselves on never supplying the conventional supermarkets, instead, lining the pantries of Bondi locals who can appreciate good locally grown greens.

Chai Tent
Long time stallholders and full-time legends, the guys at the Chai Tent have the best spot in the house. Colourful mats and comfy pillows set up next to the stall mean you can sip down that original, sweet and spicy Chai deliciousness while you bathe in the sunshine.

So if you want to support local producers and farmers and get your hands on some organic, gourmet eats, make this beloved Bondi bazaar a part of your Saturday routine.
