NICOLA FINETTI ARRIVES AT THE GRAND SOCIAL

One of Australia’s most iconic and innovative designers, Nicola Finetti, has arrived at online fashion mecca, The Grand Social.

Before he was Nicola Finetti clothing designer, he was Nicola Finetti architect who studied in Rome, lived in Argentina and then moved to Australia where, finally, in 1995 he launched his eponymous womenswear label. Ever since then, Nicola has been selling in countless boutique stores throughout the country, as well being stocked by leading department store Myer.

The fact that Nicola has gone digital at one of our favourite online destinations is a big deal to us because…well, how do we say it…we’re lazy? And we like things delivered to our door at our convenience. For those who are not Finetti-ites, you can spot his architectural background in the construction of his garments. Tailored to perfection, bold shapes and a strong sense of line are combined with striking prints that instantly capture the attention of the eye. It’s a brave woman who can wear the Finetti but she looks impeccable when she does.

Nicola sees his life experiences as forming part of the influences of his style and creative direction, finding strong inspiration in contrast such as “north-south, white-black, constraint-freedom and internationally, Nicola Finetti now sits alongside acclaimed labels such as Chloe and Alexander McQUeen on the shelves of the world famous Harrods store in London. Famous faces to wear the designer pieces from Nicola Finetti include Naomi Watts and Cate Blanchett.
