Keep in mind there will be over 100,000 people, in various shades intoxication, avoid the roads and let us sort you out with a helicopter to and from the track? If you want to forgo the crowds and vertigo, we welcome you to enjoy you the race that stops the nation at any of the bars at QT Melbourne.

As you sit there, counting your winnings and contemplating buying into Gai Waterhouse’s next pony, you’ll be in need of a stiff drink to cap off the big day.
