Stella blue skies, warm sunny days … it is certainly a mountain paradise come summer. As Falls Creek boasts weather that is at least 10 degrees cooler than down in the valley, a natural summer glow becomes easy. With wildlife in abundance, and the young animals of spring frolicking the high country, it is truly a beautiful time to unwind.
With fantastic sunsets and sunrise and the flora and fauna that are outstanding in colour and stature, paints the mountains with a Claude Monet-esque impression. Not to mention the raging waterfalls and flowing rivers. There are endless possibilities for a summer wedding in the Alps that will be nothing short of a jubilee. We recommended enjoying the outdoors for a sunset ceremony out over the Kiewa Valley matched with a weekend escape of adventure, astonishing views and beautiful farm gate dining.
Cattlemen’s huts and horseback riding take the stage in this historic setting, slowing down from the busy life, the unplugged nature of Autumn is truly unforgettable. With the changing of seasons, excitement is in the air about the upcoming Winter season. Even with a day of mist, you can feel the electricity in the air. A pamper package fit for a queen in your high country oasis with a mountain to play with … the possibilities are endless. We certainly recommend an indulgent spa weekend away, or perhaps take to the trails with an outdoor adventure. Whether it’s a chariot ride or a country style rodeo, Autumn is your blank canvas, reading for painting.
Who could go past a Winter wonderland for your big day? A ceremony entwined with the snow gums or on our sunset terrace of the mighty Kiewa Valley, perhaps dress it up a notch with helicopter entrance over Victoria’s highest mountains or tie the knot ski-in ski-out style. Endeavour into the much-loved snow activities Falls Creek has to offer such as a snowmobile derby bucks party or glitz and glam with Snow Queen beauty services, there is really something for everyone. With luxury alpine chic, glamour is never amiss with a true Winter wonderland.
The sun rises a little later, warm rays cutting through the brisk alpine air, there is magic around. Flowers always bloom in spring, and the alpine area is blessed with the most amazing of experiences with the wattles of spring emerging from a winter’s rest, which paint the high plains yellow. Snowy daisy’s and billy buttons alike set the scene with warm romance but still with that touch of snow that keeps it playful. With winter action still in mind, enjoy the slopes with ease or for perhaps a quainter nuptial enjoy the snow peaked caps amongst rejuvenated wildlife.
