The sun rises a little later, warm rays cutting through the brisk alpine air, there is magic around. Flowers always bloom in spring, and the alpine area is blessed with the most amazing of experiences with the wattles of spring emerging from a winter’s rest, which paint the high plains yellow.

Snowy daisies and billy buttons alike set the scene with warm romance and this year, we’ve got gourmet picnic hampers that are stacked and piled high with a delectable menu to be devoured.

We’ve rounded up the region’s best local chefs, winemakers, brewers and distillers for a picnic basket you can really sink your teeth into. Antipasto stars in our luxe picnic packs, full of local olives, cured meat, pickled peppers, handmade cheese from Victoria’s High Country and a myriad of other lunch staples. Bubbles will also be supplied from our friends at Dalzotto Wines and craft classics available from Bridge Road Brewers.
