The Sydney Opera House is arguably the city’s most recognisable structure. It’s located on Bennelong Point, which is very close to both Circular Quay (where you catch the ferry) and the Botanical Gardens. The building houses multiple performance venues, which host over 1,500 opera, rock, electronic, world music and many other performances each year.

It was designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, was formally opened in 1973 and is now recognised as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You can’t go to Sydney and not see the Opera House… you just can’t.
